Purpose

This policy explains how Makeitforme describes and handles sealed trading-card products, hobby boxes, signed memorabilia, certificates of authenticity, packaging condition, random contents, and collector expectations.

Genuine products

We aim to source genuine products from reputable distributors, suppliers, signing partners, or recognised channels. We do not knowingly sell counterfeit products. If you have a reasonable authenticity concern, contact us with the order number and supporting details so we can investigate.

Factory-sealed cards and hobby boxes

A product described as factory sealed will be supplied with the manufacturer seal or wrapping intact, subject to any condition note on the product page. We do not open, search, or reseal a product sold as factory sealed.

Packaging can show minor factory marks, print variation, loose wrap, small surface scuffs, or light transit wear that does not affect the sealed contents. If a box is materially crushed, torn, unsealed, water-damaged, or otherwise materially different from the description, contact us before opening it.

Random contents and manufacturer odds

The contents of packs, boxes, and cases are selected by the manufacturer and are random unless expressly stated otherwise. Images of rare cards, autographs, memorabilia cards, parallels, or inserts are illustrative. Published ratios, averages, case hits, or “on average” statements are manufacturer information and do not guarantee a particular result in an individual product.

A box that does not contain a hoped-for card is not defective if it otherwise matches the description. A manufacturer packing error may be subject to the manufacturer’s missing-hit or quality process. We will provide reasonable order evidence where available but cannot guarantee that the manufacturer accepts a claim.

Cards and grading

Manufacturer production can result in centring differences, print lines, surface marks, edge or corner issues, and other variations. Unless a specific grade is expressly stated, we do not guarantee that a card will receive any grade from PSA, Beckett, CGC, SGC, or another grading company.

Statements such as “display-ready”, “collector quality”, or “stored carefully” describe our reasonable assessment and are not a professional grade unless the item has been graded by a named third party.

Signed memorabilia

Where a product includes a certificate of authenticity, hologram, serial number, witness statement, or online verification, the product page will identify the supplied evidence where reasonably possible. Certificates and matching identifiers form part of the item and should be kept together.

Third-party authentication is an independent opinion or service. The authentication provider is responsible for its own verification system and terms. We do not claim endorsement by an athlete, club, league, governing body, or authentication company unless expressly stated.

Photographs

For a unique or individually signed item, the product page should state whether the photograph shows the actual item. For products held in multiple quantities, an image may be representative. Autograph placement, ink flow, serial number, packaging, and minor visual details can vary.

Storage and handling

We use reasonable care in storage, handling, and packing. Protective sleeves, rigid mailers, corner protection, double boxing, or insurance may be used depending on the item. Protective packaging is intended to reduce transit risk but cannot eliminate every possibility of carrier damage.

Investment and resale value

Collectibles can rise or fall in value. Past sales, rarity statements, population data, market prices, or promotional language do not guarantee future value, liquidity, or profit. Products are sold as collectibles and entertainment items, not as regulated investments or financial advice.

Reporting an issue

Before opening a product with visible external damage, photograph the shipping parcel, internal packing, seals, and affected area. Contact support@makeitforme.store promptly. Keep all packaging and certificates while the claim is assessed. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

Returns

Opening a sealed collectible can materially reduce its value. Please read our Returns, Refunds and Cancellation Policy before breaking a seal, removing a tamper-evident label, separating a certificate, or altering the item.
